Airframe: 80 TT
Built in 2012 from plans by Leonard Milholland. This aircraft was designed and advertised to carry a person weighing up to 275 lbs.
The fuselage is built from 4130 steel tubing from Aircraft Spruce. All wood and plywood for the wing, hardware, aluminum, AN bolts, etc., was purchased from Aircraft Spruce. Wing ribs consist of 1/4-inch spruce cap strips and lightweight plywood gussets. The spars are spruce cap strips with 1/8-inch ply webs.
The tail surfaces are aluminum tubes assembled with pulled rivets and gussets.
The wing struts were upgraded to the Streamline Jury Struts. Fabric is Poly Fiber Ultralight covering.
Propeller was designed and built by Frank Johnson at Performance Propellers. Also available is the Smoker system.
The engine is a half VW engine putting out 37hp, built and tested by Hummel Engines and Machining LLC of Coolidge Arizona.

Cost to build this aircraft (material only) was just over $10,000.
